Frustration In Waiting

Waiting, waiting and more waiting. The frustrating thing is not just the waiting. It's that we are not really in line anywhere. Our paperwork is not getting reviewed somewhere. Stuff isn't in the mail...I'm frustrated because we are just sitting here not hearing of any progress with the whole Burundi program. It's like it's frozen. I check the adoption news bulletin at least twice a day hoping to read ANY news from Burundi but there is nothing day after day after day. And occasionally there will be "news" but it really isn't important news. What an emotional roller coaster.

  1. I'm sorry Em. Remember- The LORD is in charge. He will open the doors you never could. You know the hardest answer He ever gives? It's not yes or no, but wait. I know that doesn't help your emotions now, but don't forget, it will be SO worth it. If you felt the Lord leading you to adopt, He will make it happen, so don't doubt it. Can you imagine the story you can tell your child? You fought to bring them from a country that had never allowed adoption! You're a life-saver! You're kind of like the barren women of the Bible- Sarah, Hannah, Elizabeth, etc.- when God says you will have a baby, it WILL happen. I love you guys and I keep praying!
